An acquired Taste

I was young and so were you

Yet while I let caution rule my world

You sought out the wild side of life

Finding a vibrant  thrill in everything you did

I could never understand what you saw in me

The shy quiet girl living in the mundane

Before I met you I had never had a shot of whiskey

The thought of cigarettes was abhorrent to me

Then  I sampled  them upon your lips

and I acquired a taste for you
